The Duchess of Cambridge beats other stylemakers as she takes top spot of Vanity Fair's annual International Best Dressed List.

Kate Middleton has toppled over some of the worlds' most influential names in the fashion industry. On the magazine's September issue, The Duchess of Cambridge trumps over actresses and models such as Diane Kruger, Jessica Chastain and Poppy Delavigne. She was also concluded more stylish than designer Stella McCartney, whose creations she famously wears.

Kate has won favors and praises for patronizing British designers such as Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson and Alice Temperley. Apart from Kate, her brother-in-law, Prince Harry was also included in Vanity's list. Other royals like Princess Mary of Denmark and Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco were also included.

Jay Z was included among the few men who made he list, as well as Gisele Bundchen's husband, Tom Brady. Colin Firth was also tagged along with his wife Livia.

Although The Duchess of Cambridge experienced a bit of a mishap when she was criticized for her outfit at the Olympics Opening Ceremony at the Buckingham Palace, she did manage to bounce back and reclaim her fashion icon staus the day after.

As Karl Lagerfeld said, Kate Middleton has the "sense" on what to wear and what to do as well as what's right for the moment.
