“Scandal” couple President Fitz and Olivia Pope’s romance is not a dreamy romance involving a rock-solid couple. Despite that, Demi Lovato, 22, has compared her and Wilmer Valderrama’s love with that of the “Scandal” couple.

Lovato recently took to Twitter to tell her long-time boyfriend Valderrama, 35, that their love is greater than the love of Fitz and Olivia. She said, “@WValderrama I know this won't mean anything to you but our love is greater than Olivia Pope and Pres. Fitzgerald Grant's."

Valderrama and Lovato have been in an on and off relationship since 2010. The singer has often given her boyfriend the credit for her sobriety. Lovato recently told HuffPost Live that she is alive because of Valderrama.

“He never takes credit for my sobriety, but I guarantee I wouldn't be alive without him today," Lovato said while talking about her bipolar depression. She also said that she is proud of him and that they are open about their relationship, and they are in control when it comes to what they post online. Lovato said that she wants to give her man a lot of credit but he never takes.

Valderrama and Lovato’s relationship cannot be called similar to that of fictional “Scandal” couple. President Fitz is a married man and he cannot be open about his love for the political fixer Olivia. If he takes to Twitter and proclaims his love for Olivia, he will be seen as a President who is cheating on his wife by having an extramarital affair.

Meanwhile, Lovato has launched her own record label. She has teamed up with her friend Nick Jonas and their manager Phil McIntyre to start the record label, Safehouse Records. Lovato has also given credit to McIntyre, who has been her manager since she was 15-years-old, for “literally” saving her life. In addition to launching the record label, Lovato has also announced a new mental health awareness campaign, Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health.

And speaking about Olivia and Fitz, “Scandal” Season 4 did not focus much on their relationship. They remained separated for much of the season, though the season finale ended on a fairytale note for them.
