'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Sept. 6: Danger lurks around Salem; Marlena has a close call with a ghost from the past

There’s certainly no rest for the wicked in Salem, as more drama, danger and revelations fill the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Tuesday, Marlena (Deidre Hall) comes to the aid of a ruthless criminal, despite her hesitations. As she visits Clyde (James Read) in prison, she has a near-miss with an enemy from the past, Orpheus (George DelHoyo).

Earlier spoilers have suggested that Clyde and Orpheus will soon connive with Xander (Paul Telfer) to make an epic prison break and wreak havoc in Salem. Other “Days Of Our Lives” cast members who will figure prominently on the Sept. 6 installment include Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Laura (Jaime Lyn Bauer), Chad (Billy Flynn), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Steve (Stephen Nichols), Adrienne (Judi Evans) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s run of “DOOL,” Laura provides Jennifer stunning information about Abby while Kayla minces no words as she talks to Steve. Elsewhere, Chad begins to doubt his decision to let Adrienne and Lucas raise his son. Marlena, on the other hand, pays Clyde a visit and almost encounters a familiar face.

Last week, Chad went to the hospital chapel to “talk” to his wife’s spirit. He asked Abby for her guidance on what to do with their son. He promised that he won’t fail her and do what's best for Thomas. Meanwhile, Lucas and Adrienne visited Jennifer to cheer her up by inviting her out to lunch. Shortly after, they bumped into Chad, and an argument ensued between him and Jennifer about raising Thomas. Jennifer suggested Lucas and Adrienne take care of the baby, at least temporarily, but Chad was offended. Later at home, Chad tried to comfort Thomas who’s been crying. He then called Jennifer and told her about his decision: he’ll allow Lucas and Adrienne to have Thomas for a while. Jennifer, on the other hand, had an unexpected visitor, her mum. Jennifer hugged Laura while reduced to tears. “I have to talk to you about Abigail,” Laura said.
