Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are more than excited for the sequels of the film “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Jamie plays Christian Grey while Dakota can be seen in the role of Anastasia Steele in the BDSM film that was a huge box-office success at the Valentine's Day weekend. The film will have two sequels, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed.”
“I’m excited, I mean, she [Anastasia] goes through such an arc in the first book and really explores herself and this whole other world,” Dakota is quoted as saying by MTV News. She added that her character Anastasia “becomes a woman” in the second book and she is looking forward to play the interesting part where Ana get "comfortable” with her identity as Christian's girlfriend.
Jamie, who plays the role of a kinky billionaire in the film, also told the website that he is looking forward to do the two sequels. The 32-year-old Irish actor said he is willing to explore “different sides” of Christian in the sequels. The films are based on the best-selling trilogies by author E.L. James.
The first books tells the story of how Christian and Anastasia fall in love and then separate. In the next two books, they both become comfortable with each other's life styles and accept each other completely. The third book sees both of them eventually get married and also have kids.
The BDSM role required Dakota to appear in various compromising positions during the shoot. At times she was tied up in ropes and beaten-up by various adult toys. The actress was also required to wear seductive lingerie in various scenes and told Glamour magazine that she took home some of the underwear that she found “comfortable.”
The actress also told the magazine that she took away a “flogger” from the film's BDSM set, which is now lying in her garage. The film, now in theaters, has R rating in the U.S. and was slapped with 18 rating in the UK. “Fifty Shades of Grey” was also banned in Malaysia for its controversial BDSM content.
