Caitlyn Jenner, Formerly Bruce Jenner Breaks The Internet With First Tweet, Takes Over President Barack Obama's Record

Caitlyn Jenner broke the Internet. The sexy cover girl of Vanity Fair, more known as Bruce Jenner before the cover was launched, broke President Barack Obama’s record for the fastest time to getting 1 million followers on Twitter.

Caitlyn Jenner gained a million followers the first time she tweeted under the handle of @Caitlyn_Jenner. Politico reports that just four hours after she tweeted her photo for the Vanity Fair issue, taken by none other than renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, Jenner had a million Twitter users tuning in on her account and counting. It took @POTUS (President Obama’s account) a little less than five hours to achieve the same feat.

Caitlyn’s first tweet revealed her flair for the dramatics. Along with a picture of her in a silk corset, Caitlyn’s tweet revealed that she is “so happy.” She also welcomed “Caitlyn” the world.

The cover itself was very popular among Twitter users. The photo was retweeted, even before it reaches 5pm on Monday, for 160,000 times. The particular issue will start selling on June 9.

Inside the magazine, fans would read that Jenner went through around 10-hours of facial-feminization surgery on March 15. She said it was not an easy process and after getting it, admitted to having doubts on what she did to herself. But the self-doubts were fleeting. She told Vanity Fair that "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself’ and I don’t want that to happen."

The transformation itself is not a surprise. Following months of speculation that Jenner is struggling with his male identity, he went on a comprehensive Diane Sawyer interview where he revealed that for “all intents and purposes,” he is a woman. He also opened up about his struggle since he was young with the female inside of him and his dilemma of how to share this important detail regarding his person to his family, which includes famous TV and Entertainment industry figures such as Brody Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, along with Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and of course his ex-wife, Kris Jenner.
