Another boxing legend has shared his thoughts in the upcoming bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. Julio Cesar Chavez, who previously picked Mayweather to win the big bout in May in Las Vegas, is now saying that he is picking Pacquiao because of the Filipino’s heart.

“Pacquiao because of heart,” Chavez declared in Spanish in a short interview with Fight Hype when asked to pick between Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Chavez has apparently changed his mind when back in late February when he said that “if he had to bet” he would be picking Mayweather over Pacquiao, who has a chance to give Mayweather a tough fight if he comes out “aggressive” and with a “killer instinct” he has shown in past bouts, according to the boxing legend.

In early February, Chavez opined that the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout was meant to be done and that the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world needed to make the fight happen for the fans around the world. Mayweather and Pacquiao officially announced the fight on Feb. 20, 2015. Watch the full interview of Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. below:

The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is scheduled on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aside from Chavez, other boxing legends have also chimed in on their Mayweather-Pacquiao predictions. Former champions Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. are for Pacquiao and initially, Muhammad Ali, considered the best heavyweight boxer in the history of the sport, was also for Pacquiao before Ali’s publicist denied those claims.

Other boxing personalities like former lightweight champion Ray Mancini, former middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, former multi-division champion “Sugar” Ray Leonard, current welterweight champions Kell Brook and Amir Khan and world-renowned trainer Nacho Beristain are all for Mayweather.
