Australian actor Jai Courtney has left Hollywood buzzing as he nabs roles in high-profile films like Angelina Jolie’s “Unbroken” and veteran actor, Russell Crowe’s “The Water Diviner.”

The 27-year old actor may not ring a bell to many but he has been making a name for himself in Tinsel town. Courtney is currently based in the U.S. finding his own stars. The Aussie hunk who grew up in the Sydney suburb of Cherrybrook, noted the Sydney Morning Herald, has spent a great deal of his time in recent years auditioning for parts in Hollywood films.

His hard work has been paying off that he has been recently announced to join Jolie and Crowe’s upcoming films.

In “Unbroken,” Jai is tapped to portray the character of Hugh 'Cup' Cuppernell, who fights with the film’s lead character, Louis Zamperini. Courtney and Jack O'Connell, the English actor tapped to play the film’s lead role, will share a number of mid-air fight scenes.

“Unbroken” chronicles the life of Louis Zamperini, “an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II,” as described in movie Web site.

But Jolie’s drama film is not the only one Courtney had signed up for. The “Jack Reacher” star has also just signed up for Crowe’s film, “The Water Diviner.” In the film, Courtney plays Lt-Col Cecil Hilton whose character in the film is a soldier with the painstaking task of identifying thousands of fellow soldiers killed in action.

Jai Courtney has been making his way to stardom and has appeared in a number of films in Hollywood. These include “Jack Reacher” (2012); “A Good Day to Die Hard” (2013); “Felony” (2013); “Stoned Bros” (2009), among others. More projects of the Australian hunk can be found here.
