Google’s Nexus 10 tablet has apparently received the Android 5.1 Lollipop update over the air (OTA) on March 21. This update has been rolled out right after the search giant posted the factory image specific to the phablet. In addition, the Nexus 6/5 smartphone is also receiving the Lollipop update, whereas the LG G2 will reportedly receive the update in Q2 2015. Furthermore, Samsung and LG have apparently confirmed the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, Galaxy Alpha and LG G2, respectively.

Android 5.1 Lollipop Update For Nexus 10

Apparently, the size of the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Nexus 10 tied to the build number LMY47D is only 104.4 MB. Even then, readers are advised to use a reliable Wi-Fi network in order to download and install the update. Plus, a 50 percent battery charge is mandatory for the update. The new Android 5.1 OS update reportedly comes with several performance improvements, bug fixes and stability-related enhancements to the handset, notes Phone Arena. Most importantly, the ones that installed the Lollipop update have apparently experienced faster tablet booting. However, readers should note that, not all Nexus 10 owners have received the update because the package is apparently being sent in phases, according to Phone Arena.

Android 5.1 Lollipop Update For Nexus 6, Nexus 5

Phone Arena says, AT&T’s Nexus 6 has apparently started receiving the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. This update reportedly comes with the build number LMY47D. Notably, this is the same build number the Nexus 5 owners have been receiving. Also, the update is apparently being sent over the air and therefore, Nexus 6 owners will receive the software update in phases. In case, AT&T’s Nexus 6 users have not received the notification yet, they can check for updates via the device settings.

On the other hand, T-Mobile has apparently started sending out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Nexus 6 owners via the build LMY47M in the US. Meanwhile, readers should note that the Verizon version of the Nexus 6 apparently comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop update straight out of the box.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For LG G2, Samsung Galaxy A Series, Galaxy Alpha

LG India has apparently tweeted saying the G2 will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in Q2 2015. However, there is no information available to ascertain the availability outside India.

Meanwhile, Samsung will apparently roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for all Galaxy A series of smartphones. This includes the recently released Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7. Moreover, the Lollipop update pertaining to the Galaxy Alpha does not have a specific date yet. But then, GSM Arena says, the update will be rolled out “early this year.”
