Amanda Seyfried's "Lovelace" journey was much chronicled, thanks to a rival Lindsay Lohan version and some casting issues. The movie finally premiered in New York City on July 30 with Amanda leading the best dressed race and Sharon Stone hot on her heels.

At the "Lovelace" screening, Amanda Seyfried managed to add an edge to a ruffled dress. She hit all the right notes in her strapless Givenchy zipper detail frock with its cascading yet structured ruffles. Amanda wisely kept her footwear simple with streamlined Givenchy sandals. As for her hair and makeup, it was polished curls and red lipstick for Amanda Seyfried. The "Chloe" actress looked very chic indeed.

Chasing 27-year-old Amanda for the top spot on the best dressed list was her 55-year-old cast mate Sharon Stone. Bikini pics still fresh from all that social media exposure during her vacation, Sharon opted for white and gold. The actress looked fantastic in her fitted dress, with its slashed neckline and gold stud accents. She added cuffs, rings, heels, and a clutch - all in gold - for an even more commanding look.

Since Sharon Stone and Amanda Seyfried's "Lovelace" promotions started, the two seem to be on a battle for who gets the best dressed title. The film tells the story of porn star Linda Lovelace, with Sharon Stone playing Amanda's mother. The cast got together for a press conference ahead of the premiere. Amanda kept it low-key in a black-trimmed, grey Tibi dress. Sharon Stone glammed it up in a melon coloured frock and eye-catching multicoloured heels.

Amanda got extra fashion points when she stopped by the "Late Show with David Letterman," with no Sharon Stone on her heels. She served bold shoulders and long legs in a frilly, white Balmain outfit and Rupert Sanderson pumps.
