The moment Simon Cowell heard Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton, he knew that the American indie duo would capture America's hearts and in fact they did. Popularly known as Alex & Sierra, the couple has been the darling of the crowd since Day 1 on the "X Factor USA" 2013.

Here’s the top things to know about “X Factor USA” Top 3 Finalist, Alex & Sierra :

America’s Sweethearts
Alex and Sierra auditioned for the “X Factor USA” as a couple and they have subsequently gone under Simon Cowell’s “Group” act. They auditioned with the hit song, “Toxic” by Britney Spears after which the British mogul declared that “America will fall in love with them.”

Simon’s statement has resonated on the couple and to America since Day 1. This could be viewed in two ways. One, that America will fall in love with the couple as love between the folk/indie duo grows week after week on the “X Factor USA.” Two, his declaration also means that Alex and Sierra helped America to strengthen faith in love during such trying times.

One thing for sure, Alex and Sierra offer one thing fresh and new on the reality singing competition - they will become the first real-life winnning couple and a chance to make it big in the Hollywood music scene.

Being Safe
Like, Jeff Gutt, Alex & Sierra is one of the only two of top final 3 acts who have been safe throughout the competition on “The X Factor USA.” The couple has been loved by the audience and the judges for the “raw talent” they have and the refreshing “love” resonating on stage, America and the whole world.

The only time Alex and Sierra thought they were on the chopping block was on Top Final 10 week when Tim Olstad was eliminated. The couple shared in a post-elimination interview that it was a challenging week when they were the last act to be called as safe for the week.

The couple had impressed the judges, except their own mentor, Simon Cowell on their rendition of “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer. Kelly Rowland preferred to see them perform together noting that she felt uncomfortable seeing them apart on stage. Demi Lovato agreed with Kelly while Paulina Rubio thought “Bohemian,” and 70s ring to their choice of 80s song.

Of the judges, it was only Alex and Sierra’s mentor, SiCo who was not impressed with their performance. The British mogul claimed that their cover of Palmer’s “Addicted to Love,” should “have been better than how it was performed,” and the way it was arranged, the veteran judge boasted as “radical,” at the hopefuls’ introductory video.

After the triple elimination last week, Alex and Sierra also took to Twitter to thank their fans for their unwavering support.

"Just wanted to thank all of our friends, family, and new friends (our twitter babies) for all of the love and support you give us daily,” said the “X Factor USA” hopefuls in a report by Entertainmentwise.com.
