Filming of “The Walking Dead” season 8 is underway, and it seems that the cast members are just as excited about the AMC show’s upcoming season as the fans. Everyone knows that the All Out War is coming, but it may explode sooner rather than later.

Spoiler alert: This article contains plot details about “The Walking Dead” season 8, which will premiere in October of this year. Australian viewers will be available to watch the new season on Foxtel.

Cast members of popular TV shows normally post photos from the set on their social media accounts. This way, they can keep fans hyped for the upcoming season. Sometimes, such uploads give out hints on where the series is possibly going, allowing fans to speculate on what’s to come.

Spoilers are welcomed by some fans, while others prefer not to know anything at all until the new season actually starts. That is why when something accidentally leaks, it gets deleted right away. This is exactly what happened to a cast member of everyone’s favourite zombie apocalypse series.

Daniel Newman, who plays a Kingdommer soldier with the same first name on the AMC show, posted a photo on his Instagram that showed him, Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Jeremy Palko (Andy) together on the set. Why did it create such a buzz? It’s because the three allies were on enemy territory.

The concrete building and the metal set of steps with yellow handlebars obviously signify that Rick, Andy and Daniel are at the Sanctuary, the home of Negan and his Saviours. Newman quickly deleted the photo, but it wasn’t obviously fast enough. Somebody got a hold of the image, which has since made rounds online (see the photo below).

This could mean that the upcoming season may open up with Rick and his allies storming the Sanctuary for the much anticipated All Out War. If this is the case, then season 8 is going to have an action-packed premiere episode. The showrunners have already said that the upcoming season is going to feature a much faster pace compared to the last one, so starting out with Rick invading the Lucille-loving antagonist’s home is definitely a blazing start.

Lincoln previously mentioned that he is excited for Rick, who is finally pushing back instead of backing down. He even claimed that “The Walking Dead” season 8 opener would be one of the series’ best instalments ever. Stay connected with IBTimes for more updates.
