“The Voice Australia” coach Delta Goodrem released her single “Wings” on July 24. The song, which she co-wrote with Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci , will serve as the lead single of her upcoming studio album, which has yet to be titled.

In an interview with Official Charts, Goodrem talked about how she felt about “Wings” dominating the Australian singles chart. She said that she is definitely someone who believes anything is possible, but she does not want to be preachy about it.

Goodrem explained that she wanted to create a feeling in “Wings” that reflects how she feels in life at the moment -- completely free and re-energised. She felt that something has just changed in her heart, and the result of that feeling is the track “Wings.”

With “Wings,” Goodrem said she feels like she is being rediscovered, adding that she has been through many different chapters in Australia but the best version herself is her current self.

The official release date of Goodrem’s upcoming fifth studio album has yet to be confirmed. Her fourth studio album titled “Child of the Universe” was released on Oct. 26, 2012.

According to Goodrem, she was still writing prolifically after “Child of the Universe.” But gor her, “Wings” was the song where she felt she hit her stride.

After the release of “Child of the Universe” in Australia, Goodrem served as a coach on the first and second seasons of “The Voice Australia” in 2012 and 2013 and won “The Voice Kids Australia” in 2014. She recently returned as the coach in “The Voice Australia” Season 5 with Ricky Martin, Jessie J, Benji Madden and Joel Madden.

As an actress, Goodrem is known for playing Nina Tucker in the Australian soap “Neighbours.” She also played Shopie Harris in “Police Rescue” and Taylor Ward in “North Shore.”
