In the recently concluded British Fashion Awards, the women dominated as they took home the major prizes of the night. Fashion icon Victoria Beckham was especially thrilled with her award as she won the Designer Brand prize.

The 37-year-old mother of 4 wore a floor length Gothic black gown. She paired the outfit with minimal makeup (a smoky eye and nude lipstick) and slicked back hair which made the look all the more glamorous and strong.

Beckham thanked her husband, football player David Beckham, who was in Jakarta playing for LA Galaxy.

"I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support, I'd like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity - Simon Fuller, my parents, my kids and my husband. Without him I wouldn't have had the courage to do what I am doing," Beckham said in her acceptance speech.

The football player might not have been there but he made up for it by updating his Facebook page post haste with wonderful words about his wife's win.

"The boys and I are incredibly proud of Victoria after winning a prestigious British Fashion Award tonight. She has worked so hard and deserves all the recognition. It's amazing what she has achieved tonight, very special," the 36-year-old athlete posted.

The couple has been married since July of 1999, an impressive 11 years.

Sarah Burton, who designed Kate Middleton's wedding gown, won Designer of the Year. Stella McCartney won the Red Carpet Award. Other winners include Charlotte Olympia (Accessory designer), Stella Tennant (Model), Alexa Chung (British Style Award), Kim Jones (Menswear Designer), Tabitha Simmons and Christopher Raeburn (Emerging Talent Awards), Sam Gainsbury (Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creation), Christopher Kane (New Establishment Award) and Paul Smith (BFC Outstanding Achievement in Fashion).
