‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Scene Proves Ken Leung's Role As Resistance General

Ken Leung was rumoured to have been cast in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” for the role of Resistance General. Disney and Lucasfilm have yet to verbally confirm the actor’s involvement in the film. However, the behind-the-scenes footage shown at the recent San Diego Comic-Con has somehow proved the actor’s character in the film.
Starwars7news has released its “Things You Might Have Missed” list of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. The list specifically focused on the behind-the- scenes footage, which reportedly gave a brief glimpse at Ken Leung in character. According to the site, this blurry screen capture shows Ken Leung in his Resistance General costume.
“We had a much clearer look at the character, but we can confirm that this is him – the same uniform, the same belt and the same hair cut and color. And as you can see, he indeed appears to be of high rank since he is talking with Leia,” the site stated.
Carrie Fisher is said to be the person standing beside Ken Leung dressed in her Princess Leia costume. The same scene also confirms that C-3PO will sport a red left hand in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Starwars7news previously shared some details about Ken Leung’s costume in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” As Resistance General, the actor will reportedly sport a brownish uniform with reddish belt. His coat supposedly has a rank insignia that matches the old rebel rank insignia used in previous films.
The behind-the-scenes footage for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” released at the San Diego Comic-Con also confirmed what costume designer, Michael Kaplan, has described the costume of the Resistance characters. The villains reportedly wear costumes in warmer colours, in “khakis and olives and some oranges.” Whereas the Rebels wear a different costume shade, which consists of “very cold blacks and grays and metallics and teal blues.” According to Starwars7news, Ken Leung’s costume definitely matches the Resistance characters costume.
Starring in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” would be the second time Ken Leung has worked with movie director J.J. Abrams. They had previously worked together on Abrams’ “Lost” series.
