Day 4 and the second round of the French Open 2014 has been concluded in Roland Garros. The Women's side has seen the top seeds come crashing down as well as many hometown hopes. The men's singles division tells a different story. In a French double feature on the main courts, home fans had plenty to cheer about. Frenchman Jo Wilfred Tsonga was on Philippe Chatrier and advanced comfortably over 2010 semi-finalist Jurgen Melzer to book his place in the third round.

French Open Women's Singles: Day 4 Results

Day 4 marks the beginning of Round 2 matches on the clay courts of Roland Garros for the 2014 French Open Tennis. The women took to the courts today missing several seeds such as former French Open Champion Li Na and Former World number 1, Caroline Wozniacki. Round 2 did not prove to be better for the top seeds as the Williams sisters were also taken out. Defending champion and top seed was crushed in straight sets very convincingly by 20 year old Spaniard Garbine Muguruza.

The Los Angeles Clippers franchise is up for grabs and bids are reportedly from $1 billion to $1.2 billion. Shelly Sterling, the husband of the much-maligned owner Donald Sterling, who was embroiled in a racism controversy that started the mess in L.A., has been given authority to sell the team and started reviewing the offers for the franchise.
