Android 4.4 Kitkat update for Samsung Galaxy S3 may push through as the carrier's handset with the OS was spotted in two new leaks.

According to GottaBeMobile, Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3's Android 4.4 Kitkat update was seen twice. First, the OS update was in Sprint's Web site on a user agent profile. The listing is for SPH-L710 which is Sprint's Galaxy S3's model number. The handset runs with the 4.4.2 version of Kitkat OS.

In another occasion, Android 4.4 kernel source of Sprint Galaxy S3 was also seen in an OpenSource Web site for developers. Both of these leaks were signs of the imminent roll out of the OS update to Sprint Galaxy S3. Both leaks have not confirmed the concrete release date of the upgrade but these should be right on the corner.

It remains unconfirmed whether the Sprint's update will mark the start of Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 Kitkat update release. But apparently Sprint was the first carrier of the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update and one of the first to the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 Kitkat update. Thus, there is a high chance that Sprint will be the first in line to get the update.

Other carriers have not confirmed their plans for their own Galaxy S3 handsets and have not announced whether their users will receive the cited version of the mobile software.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users will be delighted with the news that the device will receive Android 4.4 KitKat update.

French users were the first to get the update and other parts of the Europe will certainly follow then the rest of the world. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 users can manually check their devices if the update is already available.

Go to Settings > About Phone and see if you have a notification for OS update.
