Being goofy in a good way makes life fun. After Europe's third straight victory at the 2014 Ryder Cup, Rory McIlroy showed the funny side of him when he donned a red wig and a red kilt, baring his washboard abs.

McIlroy shared the picture of him with teammate Stephen Gallacher on Instagram. McIlroy was baring his chest and abs. He has a red wig on and was wearing a red kilt. "Got into the Scottish swing of things last night with Stevie G," McIlroy captioned the photo.

It turned out that McIlroy wasn't the only one who sported a wig and kilt outfit but also Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson of the U.S. team. Hunter Mahan shared the picture on Twitter. Golf Channel thought that the reason why Fowler and Watson did it is because "they plan to sneak into the European camp and steal their secrets."

Meanwhile, Rory has added the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship to his 2014 tournament schedule, as posted on his official website. The tournament will take place from Oct. 2 to Oct. 5 at the Old Course St. Andrews, Carnoustie & Kingsbarns in Scotland. According to Today's Golfer, Rory will stay in Scotland to compete in the tournament. Rory's Ryder Cup teammate Martin Kaymer will also be playing at the Dunhill Links. Other Ryder Cup participants who will play in Scotland include Stephen Gallacher, Paul McGinley and Victor Dubuisson.

In addition to the aforementioned golf stars, other champions such as Ernie Els, Darren Clarke, Louis Oosthuizen, Padraig Harrington and Charl Schwartzel. Celebrities like Greg Kinnear, Don Felder of The Eagles, Huey Lewis, Tico Torres from Bon Jovi, Hugh Grant and Sir Bobby Charlton among several others are expected to grace the golf tournament.

After the Dunhill Links, Rory's next tournament will be the 2014 PGA Grand Slam of Golf that will be held from Oct. 13 to Oct. 15 at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. The winners of the four major championships, McIlroy, Watson, Kaymer and Furyk will play in the said yearly off-season golf tournament.
