British singer FKA Twigs started to experience the unpleasant side of fame when she stepped out with boyfriend Robert Pattinson back in September. Aside from the paparazzi following the new couple wherever they go, FKA Twigs opens up that she also had to endure the bullying, numerous harsh comments, racist remarks and death threats she receives on social media sites like Twitter.

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter admitted in an interview with USA Today that she is still having difficulties with the attention she receives particularly with the negativity surrounding her relationship with the "Twilight" actor. "It's weird, I know that's not really because of me or what I'm doing. The positivity that I get from (my relationship) makes the more challenging aspects ... very worth it," FKA Twigs shared.

The "Two Weeks" singer recalled that she had to endure being bullied or harassed on Twitter with teenagers who seem to be avid fans of "Twilight" and British actor Robert Pattinson. In September, FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, responded to the harassment and racism she received on social media site Twitter.

"I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week," FKA Twigs post on her Twitter account @FKAtwigs on Sept. 29, 2014 reads. "Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online," the British singer further tweeted.

Instead of divulging details on her romantic relationship with Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs would rather have the discussion focused on her music career. The singer shared that she would people to talk about a music artist's work rather than what he or she looks like.

FKA Twigs further shared that she is kind of envious with singer and producer James Blake because people talk about his music and not his outfit or being a 6-foot-2 tall English guy. "Being beautiful isn't everything. Sometimes it's interesting to show how you feel on the inside on the outside, just through expressing yourself," FKA Twigs explained. Aside from her music career, FKA Twigs also loves to talk about fashion even though some people find her sense of style quirky.
