After a decent but not entirely successful launch, Bethesda decided that “The Elder Scrolls Online” would need a big revamp and plenty of changes. Given a new subtitle, the game has been renamed as “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” and has not only ditched subscriptions but has also added a number of new features in the game. With the PC version coming out ahead of the console versions, a new "Tamriel Unlimited" trailer was released to showcase why gamers should return to Tamriel.

The second coming of “The Elder Scrolls Online” will come with all the previous updates and DLC that was released previously like the brand new justice system that was recently introduced. According to Games Radar, this will give players the choice to steal from non-playable characters, or NPCs, and maybe even kill them if they wanted to. Of course, anyone who does these crimes will face an equally harsh punishment from the law in the game.

Other new features in the “Tamriel Unlimited” game expansion include new veteran adventure zones, an arena where four players can team up to face numerous foes and various trials. Also included are new campaigns that will continue the game’s story, brand new animations for facial expressions and combat and a ton of new equipment.

While a subscription is no longer required to play the game, PC Gamer has confirmed that there are several exclusive features for online users who choose to have an ESO membership. These memberships are available in 30-, 90- and 180-day subscriptions, which will grant players access to all future DLC as well as an assortment of in-game currency to buy items. Once the subscription runs out, users will no longer have access to any of the exclusive quests and areas as part of the membership, though items and rewards will be kept after completing them.

“The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” by Bethesda is available on March 17 for PC and MAC users, while owners of either a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One will have to wait till June for the console version. Players who bought the original game previously and are still subscribed to it will automatically get ESO memberships.
