Nintendo Direct announced some new Pokemon games that fans are sure to enjoy in 2016. The company is bringing three classic originals, “Pokemon Red,” “Pokemon Blue” and “Pokemon Yellow,” will come to the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

All three games will retain their original features and look with one exception, the trading using the Game Boy link cable will now be using wireless trading. These will be available as digital downloads come Feb. 27, 2015, DualShockers reported.

Alongside the announcement, Nintendo has also released a short trailer featuring the three games. The trailer emphasizes the ease of transporting Pokemon between devices. The “Pokemon Blue and Red” are considered as the classic titles for the Pokemon series. The “Pokemon Yellow” was later released as the Special Pikachu edition, and it is considered as the enhanced version of the “Pokemon Blue and Red.”

Coming in a little earlier than the new eShop downloads is Nintendo’s newest free-to-start title “Pokemon Picross.” According to Polygon, the new title will be available only for the Nintendo 3DS come early December. As the title implies, it will be a crossover game between “Picross” and “Pokemon.”

Finally, there are a few new events for “Pokemon X and Y” and “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” worth checking out. Trusted Pokemon source Serebii has listed a few of these must-play events.

Japan has recently been hit with the first Zygarde event linked to the “Pokemon XY *& Z” anime. Distribution of the new Pokemon is via a serial code, which can be seen in the anime’s latest episode. The code “MEGAMEGA” can be used once per game to receive the Mystery Gift, and it will be redeemable until Jan. 12, 2016. Previously, the Pokemon Yveltal and Shiny Xerneas were distributed. There is still no word on whether or not this series of distributions will be held outside of Japan, but considering how other regions previously got distributions from Japan, it may be a matter of time.

Fopr instance, the Zoroak event has already started in Germany. It will be held from Nov. 26 to Dec. 28, in conjunction with the BREAKthrough trading card game set. This can be redeemed using either the “Pokemon X and Y” or the “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” games.
