Cast members Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe wished everyone on the New Year in a video that was filmed on the production set of “Outlander” season 3. The two actors were in their costumes, and had their makeup on.

“Hi Outlanders. We raise a glass to you, and thank you all for your love and support. Here’s to an incredible holiday season to you and your loved ones,” Heughan (Jamie Fraser) said in a video released online. The actor was seated in one of the sets of the TV series for the video.

“Happy New Year Outlanders! Wishing you and your family the best 2017 ever! Here’s to you!” Balfe (Claire) said in another video. The actress was also in makeup, as an older Claire, and the video appears to be from the same set in which Heughan filmed his greetings.

Balfe has filmed a lot of flashback scenes for “Outlander” season 3. She filmed with Tobias Menzies (Frank) for the Boston scenes. The first few episodes of the show this year will focus on how the two estranged characters will try to reconnect and build a life in America, and welcome their daughter into the world.

Cast member Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield) also wished the fans on his Twitter page. “Hope 2017 brings you all you deserve!” the actor wrote.

While some people woke up with a hangover, Co-executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts woke up to a hot cup of tea and a copy of Diana Gabaldon’s book “Drums of Autumn.”

The cast and crew were on a short break from filming just before Christmas. The team is now back and busy working to complete the remaining episodes. The producers meanwhile will have to start talking about season 4, which begins production right after they wrap things up for “Outlander” season 3.
