'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: EP Julie Plec And Michael Narducci Preview Mid-Season Finale Episode Titled 'The Map of Moments' [WATCH VIDEO]

"The Originals" executive producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci gave fans a preview on the mid-season finale episode of the CW spinoff series titled "The Map of Moments." The reunion of the Mikaelson family members is set to take place in "The Originals" Season 2, episode 9 but the show's executive producers tease that it is going to be a brief one because of Esther's (Sonja Sohn) plans.

The mid-season finale episode will have Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) reuniting as well as baby Hope with her parents. In the preview video clip, executive producer Julie Plec teased that the holiday reunion of the Mikaelson siblings will reach its peak because Esther has left Elijah a psychological mess and her plan for Rebekah using Cami (Leah Pipes) is still on the table.

Then, executive producer Michael Narducci teased about Kol's (Daniel Sharman) plan against his Original hybrid brother, Klaus. The executive producer revealed that the Mikaelson sibling will be opening up to Davina (Danielle Campbell) about his relationship with Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah.

Michael Narducci explained that Kol feels he is an outcast because his connection with his siblings always ends in disappointment. In the preview clip, Kol can be seen telling Davina about the bigger diamond that can be used in creating a dagger that will work on Klaus but he no longer has it.

Davina tells the Mikaelson sibling that they will steal the diamond back in order to accomplish their plan against the Original hybrid. Watch "The Originals - Inside: The Map of Moments" preview video below.

In an exclusive ETOnline report, Michael Narducci talked about the CW released sneak peek video for "The Map of Moments" featuring Elijah and Rebekah. The promo video shows Elijah getting upset with Rebekah for rendering him unconscious before heading to the safe house with Hope.

Elijah explained that he is there to protect Rebekah and Hope but the blonde Original vampire argued that her brother is not acting himself. Click HERE to watch the video. Executive producer Michael Narducci revealed that the Mikaelson family safe house where the reunion will take place has been cloaked by a spell.

However, the executive producer teased that the reunion will only be a brief one because of Esther's plans. "They have to decide exactly what they're going to do as a family to address this threat that is posed by Esther," Narducci explained.

At the moment, the Mikaelson siblings' advantage is that their mother does not now that the baby is still alive. Additionally, Michael Narducci teased that Rebekah will have an integral role when it comes to taking down their mother. The executive producer shared that Rebekah will have a very strong protective instinct when it comes to Hope because she has been taking care of the baby for the past months.

"The Originals" Season 2, episode 9 or the mid-season finale episode titled "The Map of Moments" is scheduled to air on Monday night, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
