The fourth part of "The Originals: The Awakening" Web series revealed why Kol Mikaelson's (Nathaniel Buzolic) plan against his Original hybrid brother, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), did not work in 1914. Additionally, the mini-series revealed what happened to the witches helping Kol in creating the dagger that can be used on Klaus.

The Web series begins with Kol inside the mansion of the dowager that he killed in "The Originals: The Awakening" Part 3. Kol searches for the huge diamond in the mansion with witches Mary-Alice Claire (Keri Lynn Pratt) and Astrid (Aleeah Rogers).

After locating the diamond, Kol tells the two witches to see him at their meeting place in the cemetery so they can start creating the weapon against Klaus. Astrid gets upset with Kol's actions.

Mary-Alice tells her witch friend Astrid that she placed a spell on Kol's "clubhouse" and the door can only be opened with a Claire witch. The two were about to leave the house but Astrid spots Klaus outside taking the diamond from Kol.

Then, the Original hybrid had one of his witch allies put a boundary spell on the dowager's mansion so Mary-Alice and Astrid were not able to open the doors. "We never did leave that place. We never will," Mary-Alice declared.

The Claire witch further revealed that the place became a home for the witches who others believed to be insane. In "The Originals" Season 2 mid-season finale episode titled "The Map of Moments," Rebekah Mikaelson wakes up in a different body trapped in the same mansion where Mary-Alice and Astrid got locked up in 1914.
