The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has cancelled his appearance on Winfrey’s show citing personal reason for withdrawing from his earlier promise to the Queen of Talk.

According to the Associated Press, a representative from Oprah’s show confirmed Vick’s withdrawal from the agreed interview, which was scheduled to be aired on Thursday, February 24.

Oprah’s interview with the National Football League (NFL) was supposed to highlight Vick’s experience in prison after serving 18 months when implicated in a dogfighting operation in his property in Surry County, Va.

His imprisonment had kept Vick from the game, missing two seasons before he was allowed to return in 2009. His return to NFL was also outlined to be discussed in the Oprah interview as well as his contribution to a group called, Human Society presided by the quarterback.

No word was released both from the show and Vick’s camp if the interview will take place on a new date with Winfrey.
