Philadelphia Eagles star running back LeSean McCoy will be traded to the Buffalo Bills, according to a report. The deal is not finalised but there are on-going discussions admitted McCoy’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus on social media.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is claiming that the Eagles have already agreed to the trade that will bring McCoy to the Bills in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso. Any trade in this offseason of the National Football League, or the NFL, will only be official until after March 10, 2015 when the new league season begins.

Rosenhaus quickly took to Twitter to deny any official development about his client’s apparent trade although he did admit that there are negotiations happening.

The 26 year old McCoy is a running back who has spent the last six seasons with the Eagles after being drafted by the franchise as the 53rd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. In 90 games for the team, he has accumulated a total of 6,792 rushing yards on 1,461 carries with 44 touchdowns. McCoy had another great season in 2014 logging in 1,319 rushing yards on 312 carries with five touchdowns. This was the fourth time in six seasons when he had over 1000-plus rushing yards.

If the trade goes down, the Eagles will be getting Alonso, who is coming off an ACL surgery last July but is expected to be ready for the new NFL season. Because of the injury, Alonso missed the entire 2014 NFL Season but played all 16 games in 2013, when he ranked third overall in the NFL with 159 tackles.

"I anticipate being 100 percent before camp," the 24 year old Alonso said in the Bills’ official website. "By camp, I definitely feel I'll be at 100 percent. I feel very good with where I'm at. By camp I'll be full go.”

McCoy is a three-time NFL Pro Bowler making the team in 2011, 2013 and 2014 and also a two-time NFL First Team All-Pro member in 2011 and 2013. He was the NFL’s rushing leader in 2013.
