Adventurous beer drinkers in New Zealand would have another choice of semen-flavoured beer as Green Man pub owner Steve Drummond announced it would soon serve “milked” stout with export-quality deer semen.

Stuff.co.nz reports that the stout would not be served force-carbonated as most beers are served. Rather, Green Man in Wellington would serve the special beer hand-pumped to give it a creamy and smooth texture. Drummond says the one and only way to serve semen stout is by hand-pulling it.

Green Man is the place for semen-drink lovers since the pub also has apple-infused horse semen since 2011 and deer semen sold in syringes since 2013.

The raw deer semen is for people who want to try semen-based food. Author Paul “Fotie” Photenhauer compiled such recipes in a cookbook titled “Natural Harvest” which sells for $22.46. He compares the taste of semen, which he describes as complex and dynamic, to fine wine and cheeses.

However, in deference to guests or family members who may have a different outlook when it comes to ingesting semen, the cookbook has a notice that it was written for consenting diners of semen. “Please do not add semen to your guests’ food without informing them beforehand,” Photenhauer advises.

According to SexInfoOnline, a Web site maintained by students at the University of California, Santa Barbara, semen taste could be from enjoyable to tasteless to disgusting, based on anecdotal evidence. It could be bitter because of consumption of coffee, alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana.

Red meats, greasy foods, dairy products, chocolate, asparagus, broccoli or spinach gives semen a sharp taste, while the semen of a diabetic or someone who drank naturally fermented beverages would be sweet. A mild taste is produced if a man consumers a veggie diet, pineapple, apple, parsley, celery, spearmint and peppermint.

There are several studies that claim swallowing semen has health benefits, but the Web site says most of it are likely psychological effects or those associated with general health benefits of sex.
