Family feuds that centre on parental issues hound Ramsay Street on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Monday, Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer) may be in for another devastating heartbreak and disappointment when she finds out that her mum has a cunning motive for being in Erinsborough.

Spoilers suggest that Brooke Butler (Fifi Box) did not really come to visit and reconnect with her daughter – she’s there to rip her neighbours off with fake jewellry. Meanwhile, Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall) has her own share of drama with the arrival of her parents, Lou Carpenter (Tom Oliver) and Kathy Carpenter (Tina Bursill). Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the Nov. 7 episode include Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) and Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson).

“Neighbours” also stars Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Angus Beaumont-Hannay (Jai Waetford), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) and Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Brooke seems wiling to do anything to make a quick buck – even scamming her neighbours. “We’ll have to leave town when people realise I sold them fakes,” Brooke tells someone. Another clip shows Brooke giving Xanthe a ring to celebrate their union. Xanthe’s hesitant to accept it, since it’s a sample ring and it means Brooke won’t be able to sell rings of the same design. Gary, Brooke and Xanthe have a group hug, while Terese watches them from her window.

Digital Spy reports that despite Brooke’s efforts to prove herself, Xanthe still has her misgivings about her mum. When Brooke steps in to resume her motherly duties, Xanthe resents it, leading to a heated conflict between them.

Spoilers also suggest that Lauren is shocked to see her parents, who are clearly undergoing a rough patch. An intense argument leads Lauren to confront Lou and Kathy and demand the reason why they are fighting. Meanwhile, Paul tries to buy Amy a necklace but Amy refuses to accept it. However, Aaron makes her realise why her dad is offering such an expensive gift to her.

“Neighbours” recap

Last week, Mark was about to help Steph with the IVF when his phone rang – his brother Tyler was at the police station. Steph told him to go and continue the injection later. At the station, Mark lashed out at Tyler for crashing Tim Collins’ car and for letting Simone take the blame. Tyler offered to sell his share of the house to pay for the damages, despite Mark’s willingness to lend him money.

Meanwhile, Lauren’s mum, Kathy, arrived at Ramsay Street. Kathy says there’s no particular reason for her visit, but Lauren wasn’t convinced. Later, Steph and Jack dropped by separately and mentioned Tyler’s name, making Piper curious. Paige told her what happened, and Piper confessed that she might have done something to upset Tyler. Piper called up Tyler to ask him about the car crash, and he admitted that it was because he learned about her one-night stand with Angus. They also talked about other things, which may indicate that their friendship is back on track.

At Harold’s, Ben and David were discussing Karl’s case when they spotted Maureen Knights talking to Nurse Eve. Ben told David what happened with Maureen – she got suspended after being found guilty of physically assaulting her son. Later at the hospital, David brought the topic of Karl’s hearing with Eve, who said she’s determined to tell the coroner exactly what happened. She really seemed bent on ruining Karl’s reputation and blaming her for Regan’s death. When David defended Karl, Eve warned him to choose sides carefully.

The next day, Toadie briefed Karl about the hearing with the coroner, saying that Eve’s testimony holds a lot of weight. David then appeared, eager to share some information. The next scene showed Karl meeting up with Maureen, who updated him about what’s going on with her life. Karl said that Eve’s holding a grudge against him since Karl had a hand in forcing Maureen out of the hospital. Karl begged Maureen to talk to Eve and retract her statement, but it seemed the suspended doctor’s not feeling any empathy towards him. However, Maureen still came through for Karl, which cleared his name from the issue.
