Ramsay Street is in for quite a shocker on the first salvo of “Neighbours” this week. On Monday, Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) is taken completely by surprise when she sees Angus Beaumont-Hannay (Jai Waetford) inside Elly Conway’s (Jodi Anasta) bedroom. Spoilers suggest that Elly finds solace in Angus after she gets her heart broken again by her ex.

Meanwhile, Brooke Butler (Fifi Box) makes another attempt to put a distance between Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer) and Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard). “Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Elly emotionally reveals to Angus that she had a miscarriage and her ex only offered money. “The moment he got here, I was willing to forget any of that happened,” she says. “How desperate and stupid does that make me.” As Angus reaches out and embraces Elly for comfort, Piper walks in and sees them.

Digital Spy reports that while Elly initially rejects Angus’ affections after her heartbreaking encounter with Derek, she eventually gives in. Later, Susan is shell-shocked to catch Angus in his teacher’s bedroom.

Brooke, on the other hand, continues to widen the rift between Xanthe and Ben, hoping to convince her daughter to leave Erinsborough, according to Digital Spy spoilers. However, Sheila is standing firmly in Brooke’s way, which forces the latter to resort to desperate measures.

“Neighbours” recap

Last week, things continued to be awkward among Sonya, Toadie, Mark and Steph because of the surrogacy issue. Toadie confided in on Karl, who advised him to prioritise his family. Meanwhile, David opened up to Jack that sometimes, he thinks of men in ways that he’s not supposed to.

Elly received a message from her ex, Derek, who asked to meet up with her. Aaron delivered some good news to Angus: a music label has asked to meet up with him after seeing his music video. However, the young boy wasn’t as enthusiastic as Aaron expected. Later, Angus explained to Piper that it’s because of Elly’s upcoming meet-up with her ex. Angus begged Piper to pretend to be a student’s mum asking for a tutoring session to make Elly cancel her date with Derek. However, Elly caught Piper doing it and got detention.

Later, as Elly got ready for her date, Angus made a last-ditch effort to convince her to change her mind. She then realised that it was Angus who made Piper send the fake text message. Elly lashed out at him and ordered him to stay out of her life. At The Waterhole, Elly met up with Derek. He apologised for his behaviour after hearing about her miscarriage. Things appeared to be well between the two and they even hooked up. Afterwards, however, Elly was gutted to hear that Derek is engaged and that his fiancée is even pregnant. Elly thought that they were getting back together, but for Derek, what they did meant nothing to him.
