This is what a prime Dwyane Wade looks like. The veteran shooting guard had another 32-point evening to help the Miami Heat rally past the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 108-104 on Wednesday night. In the game before— a win versus former teammate LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers last Monday— Wade dropped the same number of points and he now has scored 25 points or more in the last six Heat games.

Wade made half of his total 26 field goals, made all of his six free throw attempts and added six assists to give the Heat their third win in the last four games. Miami climbed to seventh place at 31-36 in the Eastern Conference, just a full game ahead of two teams, the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers, both at 30-37.

Two other veterans also came up big for the Heat as Luol Deng finished with 24 points on 9-of-13 field goals including a perfect 4-of-4 clip from behind the arc and Goran Dragic ended up with 20 points and 11 assists.

The Trail Blazers were in control early on the road. Portland won the first quarter, 32-27 and pushed the lead to 57-48 at the halftime break but the Heat started to play better in the third quarter to cut down the lead to just two points, 81-79 entering the payoff period. Wade took over, gave the Heat a five-point lead in the middle of the final quarter and Miami never relinquished the lead again on the way to the victory.

Portland was led by LaMarcus Aldridge’s double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds. After winning six of their first seven games in the month of March, the Trail Blazers have now lost back-to-back games. They still have two games left in a five-game road trip with match-ups against the Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Meanwhile, Miami will host the Denver Nuggets on Friday before traveling in their next four games against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Celtics and Atlanta Hawks.
