At the MWC 2015 event, BlackBerry has introduced a new all-touch smartphone called the BlackBerry Leap. And apparently, this is a budget-friendly handset from the Canadian tech giant.

Speaking of BlackBerry Leap price, the smartphone will reportedly set the buyers back by $275 and the release date is pegged for April. As far as the key BlackBerry Leap specifications go, the handset comes with a pocket-friendly 5.0-inch display, bundled with a HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, according to BlackBerry. Therefore, the pixel density turns out to be a modest 294 ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a superannuated dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4) Krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and backed by 2 GB of RAM configuration. On the software end, the handset apparently runs on BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS, straight out of the box, notes GSM Arena.

With respect to the memory configuration, the Leap comes equipped with 16 GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card slot for expansion up to 128 GB. Speaking of size, the device is apparently 9.5 mm thick and it weighs 170 g. When it comes to camera configuration, the BlackBerry leap sports an 8 MP rear-facing unit with LED flash, auto-focus and 5x digital zoom features. Plus, this sensor is reportedly equipped to capture 1080p videos at 30fps.

Furthermore, the whole configuration is powered by a non-removable 2,800 mAh battery unit. Apparently, this unit can provide up to 25 hours of battery life on a heavy usage scale. Moreover, the BlackBerry Leap reportedly features a textured soft back panel. Interested readers can pre-register the Leap from BlackBerry’s official Website.

On the other hand, BlackBerry recently showcased an unnamed device that looks like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge rival at the MWC 2015 event. The unnamed smartphone in focus is a “two-sided curved display clad slider phone.” Apparently, this mystery device has a retro-styled slider with a physical QWERTY keyboard that can be slid out.
