New concept renders of the Microsoft Surface Phone have surfaced. The Microsoft Surface Pro line of devices includes laptop-tablet hybrids. Microsoft is rumoured to be working on a Surface phone device that is expected to offer groundbreaking features that are usually not provided with a smartphone.

The design concept of Surface Phone made by Nadir Aslam and its 3D models built by Eugen Janke shows that the Surface branded handset powered with Windows 10 will come with numerous innovative features. He has also mentioned the purported specifications of the device. The Microsoft Surface Phone is going to house a 5.7-inch full HD display.

As far as the Microsoft Surface Phone design is concerned, the designer claims that it will be constructed with a highly durable and light magnesium alloy (also referred to as VaporMg). Built with premium materials, the handset is expected to sport a beautiful shape.

The concept images shows that it will come packed with Surface Pen (a stylus) and Touch Cover (a portable keyboard) to offer the best productivity experience. The pressure-sensitive Surface Pen will allow users to make notes in natural handwriting. The ultra-slim Touch Cover pressure-sensitive keyboard can be attached to the Surface Phone conveniently to instantly transform into a small sized laptop.

The Surface Phone will be loaded with Microsoft apps like MS Office and Skype. The Surface Phone will house an in-built kickstand like the ones that can be seen on Surface Pro tablets. The kickstand can be used to use the device in portrait as well as landscape mode.

As far as connectivity features are concerned, the Microsoft Surface Phone will be equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC, and micro-HDMI. The device when connected to a monitor will function like a usual Windows 10 PC.

According to the International Business Times report that was published on March 4, the Tuula Rytila, the VP of Marketing with the Redmond giant had suggested that a Surface phone may be revealed in the future. In order to explain about it, she mentioned just as the Surface tablet is a reinvented edition of a notebook, a smartphone could also be reinvented with innovative features.
