Nothing beats teenage love, especially one that grows from friendship. Steve Irwin’s daughter, Bindi has been making a buzz lately as news of a budding romance with a Queensland native had emerged online.

Bindi may have just turned 15 but she has apparently found her first love in Bailey “Bazz” Lancaster. She is a familiar name being the daughter of late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin.

Dubbed by the ABC News as the “next generation ‘wildlife warrior’” Bindi is taking the next phase to life with a young schoolboy from Queensland. And what gave the rumoured couple away?

A photo of Bindi with Bailey and an unidentified woman was posted on the teen’s Instagram, @Bindisueirwin. The image showed Bindi looking right at the camera, all smiles as she, along with Bailey and another female young friend were kneeling for the photo.

It would have been just any ordinary photo if not for the “jealousy” Lancaster hinted in his exchange on Instagram with Bindi.

The photo was captioned: “Two of the most wonderful people I know and amazing friends.”

It sounded like Lancaster has just been “friendzoned,” and he didn’t like it a bit. To this, Lancaster quipped, according to ABC News as saying, “Bazz here. Cheers for friendzoning me… Love you too hahahahaha.”

Bindi was quick to note that he has been friendzoned.

“You are in my very, very close friend zone. @bazzlancaster,” said Irwin, according to ABC News.

Bindi is getting popular by the day and has increased her follower on Twitter to more than 46,000. Some of her followers have been open with their admiration to the young girl.

A fan wrote, “Why must you live on the other side of the world from me? None georgious (sic) girls live anywhere near me.”

Another said, "You're so beautiful.”

Having online admirers Lancaster has been prepared to deal with with her rumoured girlfriend, the schoolboy from Queensland made sure his stand is known and sent his message across as he issued a warning.

Lancaster warned them: "MINE. BACK OFF BOYS. GETTING PRETTY JELLY @bindisueirwin."

"You betcha buddy. Dating it up date style," Yahoo News Australia noted Lancaster as saying when he was asked whether they were dating or simply on the “friendzone.”
