Mariah Carey has opened up about her relationship with billionaire boyfriend James Packer.

Carey has never shied away from accepting her relationships, but it was only recently that she chose to become more vocal about her new beau. Divulging the details of her first meeting with Packer, Carey said that the two met in Aspen, Colorado for the first time a few years back.

“A couple years ago we were at the Hercules premiere. We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So we hit it off,” Carey opened up on “The Steve Harvey Show.”

Carey and Packer have been spotted together at various events scincluding “The Intern” premiere and at Carey’s Halloween party.

During the interview, Carey told Harvey that she is lucky to have Packer in her life. The 45-year old singer also flaunted her beautiful neckpiece while talking to Harvey and told that it was a gift from Packer.

"Oh, this old thing? This is a Van Cleef [& Arpels] piece that my new beau got for me recently. This was a very, very big surprise... Really nice. I wore it that night... he was opening a casino," Sydney Morning Herald quoted the singer as she divulged the details about her prized possession.

The news about Carey and Packer’s romance broke in June and the couple were even seen displaying their affection publicly on several occasions. Packer is known for his shy nature but kept his tryst with cameras aside when he debuted at the red carpet with Carey during the premiere of “The Intern.”

Recently, Carey was seen with Packer at the gala opening of Packer's new casino in Macau last month.

"I don't think either one of us thought, 'Here we are, making a debut,' he's not that guy. It was a lot for him. ... I just automatically pose. I can't help it," Carey told Entertainment Tonight in October.
