Kate Middleton is known to be a trendsetter since joining the royal family and her sartorial sense led to a phenomenon dubbed as the "Kate Middleton effect."

But it doesn't seem to end there. Since joining as a spokeswoman for the Scout Association, she has seen an additional 2,800 volunteers join subsequently enhancing the reputation of the Scout Association "Kate effect" is prevailing greater than before.

Kate, at the age of eight, enrolled in her local Brownies in Bradfield Southend, Berkshire and after two decades she became a volunteer leader in the Scout Association.

So for helping local and global charities Prince Charles has officially praised his daughter-in-law in a written statement in the Mail on Sunday, which reads:

"I need hardly say that I am particularly delighted that my daughter-in-law has helped to swell the ranks of much-needed Scout volunteers, since enrolling many more adults as leaders is the greatest need for so many of our youth organisations."

Also the UK's chief scout Bear Grylls has also appreciated Kate's philanthropic efforts along with Prince Charles.

Speaking about the her support he told "The Telegraph" in June,: "It's great that so many adults are joining the Scouts, and I am sure the increase has had much to do with the Duchess of Cambridge becoming a Scout volunteer last year."

"She is an incredible role model and she helps us show that Scouting's not just for boys. She's also such a generous volunteer and everyone is so excited to have her in the Scouting family."

Of course, anything the Duchess Of Cambridge touches turns to gold including her own wedding cake as recently a slice of royal wedding cake auctioned for over $4,160.
