John Stamos Slams Mary Kate, Ashley Olsen For Not Reprising Role As 'Michelle Tanner' On 'Fuller House'

Twins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen’s decision not to reprise their roles in “Fuller House” did not only hurt their fans but also their co-actor, John Stamos. Stamos claimed that he is “heartbroken" that the twins do not see eye-to-eye with the rest of the cast as to why the show would return — to make the fans happy.
On Friday, John Stamos used his Twitter account to share how sad he is that the Olsen twins, launched to fame when they starred on “Full House” as cute Michelle Tanner, will not entertain the idea of reprising their role in a spinoff series entitled “Fuller House.” Stamos played Tanner’s Uncle Jesse on the show’s original run in the 80s and 90s.
I understand they're in a different place and I wish them the best. I promise you will not be dissapointed with our reunion and spin off!!
— John Stamos (@JohnStamos) May 23, 2015The series is set to be shown on Netflix. Stamos tweeted that he is “heartbroken.” He added that he understand that the twins are now in a different place so he just wishes them the best. He promised the show’s fans, who are anticipating the spinoff, that the show would not disappoint.
Stamos, despite tweeting his peace over the twins’ decision, could not get his disappointment out of his system. An hour after tweeting, he went to Facebook to post a lengthier message on his feelings. Stamos wrote that contrary to what the reporters are thinking, this is not a money gig for the cast members who decided to return and reprise their roles. He said what their only goal is to meet the clamoring of fans for their return. He said the fans deserve this spinoff for the support they have given the show for many years. He added that the cast members just want to have fun and have a good time as well. He jibed the twins by saying that it is sad that “others” do not see their point.
Even though Stamos could not accept the twins’ decision graciously and happily just yet, executive producer Robert L. Boyett already stated his understanding of Ashely and Mary-Kate’s unfortunate decision. He also has no bad feelings against them.
"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," the producer stated. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors,” he added. The producer added that he is happy that the twins are wishing “Fuller House” well.
