How To Add New Contacts On Viber

Viber is one of the most commonly used apps today that allows people to connect anytime and regardless of their locations. You can add all of your family and friends on Viber so that getting in touch will be quick and easy. Here are the steps on how to add new contacts on Viber.
1. Auto sync. Viber will sync with your phone’s contact list. If the person you wish to add appears in your phone’s contact list, he will also be available in your Viber contacts. There will be a Viber badge beside his name.
2. Add directly from Viber. If the person does not appear in your phone’s contact list, choose the “More options” menu then choose “Add contact.” Put the contact’s phone number using full international format. (+Country Code – Area Code – Phone Number)
3. If you are using an iPhone, tap the green “+” button beside “Add New Phone” then enter the international number. Add the relevant details accordingly. Tap “Done” afterwards. If you are using an Android phone, tap the “Add Contact” icon. The icon might appear as a plus symbol or a person’s silhouette.
4. Scan the user QR code. Adding a contact can also be done by scanning the user QR code. Ask your friend to open his QR code by going to the “More options” screen. Open the QR code scanner then scan the QR code of your friend.
5. Checking the Viber badge. When you open your Viber contact list, you may notice that some friends have the Viber badge while others do not. If they do not have a Viber badge, this means that they have not yet installed the app or joined Viber. Invite them to join for free by choosing their name in your list then tapping “Invite to Viber”.
6. Badge issues. If your contact is a Viber user but still without a badge, both of you should check if you have the latest version of the app installed. Upgrade as necessary. The phone number should also be properly entered using the full international format.
Use these steps to add as many friends as you like on Viber then begin communicating anytime and anywhere.
