“Jane the Virgin” actress Gina Rodriguez has revealed in an interview how her life has changed since she took home the Best Actress for a Television Series Musical or Comedy award at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards last January. Rodriguez admits that the big win made her work schedule hectic and her personal life more complicated particularly with relationships and friendships.

Rodriguez told People that her Golden Globe win meant she must work twice as hard because people are now expecting a lot from her. The 31-year-old actress further added that relationships and friendships have also become a little more difficult for her.

“People think you hit some kind of success and then, boom, everything unfolds for you. But that's completely untrue,” Rodriguez shared.

When it comes to relationships, Rodriguez, whose romance with boyfriend Henri Esteve ended last September, suggested that one must keep a real, honest and clear passageway with everyone in their life. What keeps Rodriguez grounded is her work on CW’s comedy-drama series “Jane the Virgin,” upcoming films like “Deepwater Horizon” and the Moet Moment Film Festival.

“The Hollywood Foreign Press Association changed my life,” Rodriguez admitted. Rodriguez further expressed gratitude to the association because they are giving her the opportunity to give back and find a young filmmaker, who is in a little nook just like her. At the Moet Moment Film Festival competition, Rodriguez will serve as a judge to the 30-to-60 second film entries of young filmmakers for a chance to receive a $25,000 filmmaking grant.

The festival will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the champagne brand at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2016. The outstanding filmmaker from the Moet Moment Film Festival competition will receive a trip for two to the prestigious ceremony as Moet’s special guests as well as an exposure on all of Moet America's social media channels.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez attended the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” premiere in Hollywood with a special date. Just Jared reports that Rodriguez looked stunning at the red carpet event in a black and white color-blocked dress last Dec. 14, Monday.

Rodriguez shared to her followers on Twitter that she is excited to be at the film’s world premiere with Theo, the 5-year-old son of “Jane the Virgin” executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman. The other celebrities that joined Rodriguez on the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” red carpet world premiere were “K.C. Undercover” actress Zendaya and singer Becky G.

Rodriguez is set to return in the second half episodes of “Jane the Virgin” Season 2, which will continue on Jane Villanueva’s love story and journey with motherhood, in January 2016. The second part of “Jane the Virgin” Season 2 will kick off with episode 9 entitled “Chapter Thirty-One” which is scheduled to air on Jan. 25, 2016 at 9/8c on the CW Network.
