Investigators are now looking into the angle that Andreas Lübitz, lone suspect in the downing of Germanwings flight 4U9525 that killed 150 people, may have infused a drug substance into Captain’s Patrick Sondheimer's drink to set into motion his plan for the latter to call for a toilet break once they are already in the air. Officials issued the allegations based on the Internet information culled from Lübitz computer. He had allegedly researched information on “diuretics.”

Investigators, the UK Daily Telegraph reports, citing the German newspaper Express, theorised the young co-pilot studied diuretics so he can find a way to use it for his alleged plan to down the Airbus carrier into the French Alps. From March 16-23, Lübitz scoured the Internet for information on “bipolarity,” “manic depression,” “migraines,” “impaired vision” and “acoustic trauma.” He also searched for different suicide methods, information on cockpit doors and security features.

It has been reportedly that initial transcript of data from the cockpit voice recordrr revealed Lübitz repeatedly urged Sondheimer to use the toilet. He even reminded the older colleague of his failure to use the toilet in Barcelona, Spain before they took off.

The claim of investigators on the use of diuretics, however, “appears to be largely based on speculation” as of the moment. The UK Daily Telegraph reports investigators have yet to find substantial evidence in Lübitz’ home that will point that he actually bought the drugs or took them with him in the flight.
