“Doctor Who” star Jenna Coleman will be flying to Australia and New Zealand to take part in the Armageddon Expo in October.

Coleman is one of the celebrities announced to be included in the impressive festival line-up, which also includes “MacGyver” star Richard Dean Anderson, “Breaking Bad” actor Giancarlo Esposito, “Smallville actress” Helen Slater, “Stargate Atlantis” star David Hewlett and “Supernatural” actors DJ Qualls, Travis Webster and AJ Buckley.

The 28-year-old actress is best known to Whovians as Clara Oswald, the companion of the 11th (Matt Smith) and now 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi). She will be at the NZ festival on October 25 to stay for the panel, photograph and autograph sessions with fans, and will be at both October 18 and 19 dates for the Melbourne shows.

“We’re so excited to have Jenna on board for this year’s Armageddon Expo,” Beyond Reality Media Director William Geradts said. “Jenna will be the first ‘Doctor Who’ guest who is currently on the show to ever appear in New Zealand.”

The Armageddon Expo is Australia’s biggest fantasy and gaming event that features special “#AwesomeNessNess” events like “Fear Factor”-style eating challenges, live wrestling shows, amusement rides and Zombie Alley. For this year, the expo will be held from October 18 and 19 at the Melbourne Showgrounds, and on October 24 to 27 at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland. Tickets are available through ticketek.com.au and iticket.co.nz.

Special Whovian tickets are on sale at ticketshack.com.au. These tickets will allow holders VIP access to Coleman’s sessions.

Recently, it has been reported that Coleman has quit the series. It was said to be a mutual decision by the actress and the producers of the show.

Capaldi has denied the report, though he added that he wasn’t sure if she would even last until the Christmas episode.
