For its last salvo this week, “Days of Our Lives” (“DOOL”) focuses on surprising twists and dramatic turn of events. It appears that for now, the budding romance between Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) won’t push through, since she decides to try it one more time with Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove). All Rafe could do is make sure that Aiden won’t hurt Hope again, and that may mean digging up dirt about his rival.

Other “Days Of Our Lives” cast members who will figure prominently on the June 10 installment include Nicole (Ariane Zucker), Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry).

"Days Of Our Lives" soap recap

On Thursday, Roman shared with Rafe that Kate supposedly witnessed Nicole killing Deimos. Rafe didn’t buy Kate’s story. The two went to the interrogation room, where Nicole was being held up. She thought about her last conversation with Deimos, and despite the hurtful things he said, Nicole said she’d never hurt him. When Roman and Rafe confronted her about the footage of her argument with Deimos, she insisted on calling her lawyer, Belle. A few moments later, Belle arrived at the station, and Nicole rehashed everything that has happened. Belle said there's no reasonable proof to show that Nicole killed Deimos, which forced the police to let Nicole go. Elsewhere, Lani and Shawn searched the riverbank for clues and they found Nicole’s earring. They returned to SPD with the incriminating evidence.

Meanwhile, Nicole went to the Kiriakis mansion. She slapped Kate, who answered the door. Nicole ordered Kate to retract her statement but Kate insisted that she saw Nicole kill her husband. Nicole reeled from what she heard, and seeing her incredulous reaction, Kate offered to show her the marriage certificate.
