Supercell’s highly popular mobile title “Clash of Clans” has had fans begging for sneak peeks of the upcoming Town Hall 11 update. To satisfy Clashers, the developer has started a series of sneak peeks for the update.

The first part shows off the Shields, which is reportedly going to be a major part of the update. This is because the utility of the Shields will supposedly affect how “Clash of Clans” is played for different players.

According to the Supercell official site, shield design will become even more complex to fortify players’ defense, thanks to the new update. It will allow for different types of defense, and will make overall play sessions more flexible to encourage more attacks.

The Shield System will improve in two ways. There will no longer be any shield rewards for the destruction of the Town Hall. In addition, attacking when the shield is up will not break the entire shield; rather it will cost some shield time.

“Under this new system, it will be entirely possible to get attacked, get a shield and then attack two or even three times without forfeiting all of your shield,” said Supercell in the official site.

There are now three ways to get a shield. There is a 12-hour shield after 30 percent destruction, a 14-hour shield for 60 percent destruction and a 16-hour shield at 90 percent destruction. Supercell has also changed the mechanics, wherein there will be no shield if the attacker has not deployed 50 percent of a full army.

Some new attack mechanics will also make for good strategy. Shields up for some clans will no longer prevent players from participating in multiplayer matchmaking, attempting to get revenge and browsing target villages. However, once a multiplayer or a revenge attack is commenced while shielded, the shield time will be decreased by three hours. The decrease in shield time will increase for multiple attacks.

These are not the only things coming to “Clash of Clans.” Previously, the eagle defensive building has been reported to come with the update. iDigital Times added that map size will expand to even include a village guard concept. Also, for those who plan on using hacks to cheat the 24/7 system, Supercell will roll out session timers alongside a still to be detailed personal break for “Clash of Clans.

More details about shields, matchmaking, trophy offers, league bonuses, the Town Hall 11 defense and new hero and other features of the new update are expected to roll out. Supercell has also yet to detail exactly when the new “Clash of Clans” update will debut.
