Chris Brown set the rumor mill spinning after he was joined by his ex girlfriend Karrueche Tran during his birthday celebration over the weekend.

Some would have expected to see Rihanna during Chris Brown's birthday celebration over the weekend. But fans of the two were dismayed upon finding out that it wasn't Riri who showed up at the bash but it was his other ex, Karrueche Tran.

Chris Brown celebrated his 24th birthday at the Emerson nightclub in Los Angeles over the weekend. Split rumors have emerged since Rihanna was not in attendance and to make matters worse, Karrueche was there at the party.

However sources from HollywoodLife.com said that Rihanna was cool about Chris and Karrueche hanging out. The insider added that Riri and Chris are so much into each other that it can't be affected by Chris' friendship with Karrueche.

"She was my friend through it all. It was a friendship more than a relationship. I still love her, but at the end of the day, it's like I got love for her. She gone always be my homie!" Chris reportedly said describing her relationship with Karrueche. "I wish her all the best to her. We still have a clothing line. I only want her to progress. I don't want to stop her blessings."

A friend of Chris and Rihanna said that Riri remains Chris' number one and wishes that she could be with him during his birthday just as he was with the "Stay" singer during hers.

"It's up and down sometimes, the s**t is even sideways. Everytime some s**t pops off between them, they blast that s**t all over social media, and they shouldn't," a source told HollywoodLife. "But when they're far apart, that's how they act out towards each other when one of them doesn't get their own way. It's crazy as f**k, but it's how they get down."
