Currently in production for Guy Ritchie’s Arthurian tale remake “Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur,” Charlie Hunnam is turning 35 today and he couldn’t be happier about his career. After the actor wrapped up his final and seventh season with “Sons of Anarchy” his career will never be the same as he head straight to the big screen.

"I've always dreamed of being a leading man," Hunnam told USA Today. “But only because the leading man gets to do a lot of great work -- not because I ever was interested in being famous. To me, it's all about storytelling and being part of something I feel strongly about and feels important to me."

On his latest interview with Elle Canada, the blond-haired star admitted that he is ready to face to the next chapter of his life as he hangs his SAMCRO vest and put on the King Arthur suit. Now boasting an impressive acting resume, the actor is keeping his head down as he navigate his way to Hollywood stardom.

The actor also revealed on his interview with Men’s Health that he is not stoked about fame and looks up to actors like Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling. He described the two stars as someone famous but live in an “incredibly full personal lives.” He added that fame is “just an inconvenience” that he needed to negotiate for him to get around.

A very private individual, the Newscastle-born star famously turned down the highly coveted role in “Fifty Shades of Grey” as he tries not to stretch himself too thin with too many projects all at once. Now busier than ever, the actor a six-model deal under “Sherlock Holmes” director as he star alongside Eric Bana (Uther Pendragon, Arthur’s father), Jude Law (Vortigern), Astrid Berger-Frisbey (Guinevere) and Poppy Delevingne (Ingraine, Arthur’s mother).

Meanwhile, Hunnam is also set to premiere his upcoming film “Crimson Peak” with “Pacific Rim” director Guillermo del Toro. The stars alongside Tom Hiddleston (“Thor”) and Mia Wassikowska (“Alice in Wonderland”) in del Toro’s gothic thriller film.

Aside from landing the lead role in Brad Pitt’s “The Lost City of Z,” the actor is also set to play the real-life cartel leader Edgar Valdez in “American Druglord.” Penned by “American Sniper” writer Jason Hall, the movie follows the journey of Valdez from being a high school football player to a prominent cartel leader in Mexico.
