One of the hardest wars to contain is the Holy War or Jihad. Aside from potential violent attacks, people have to deal with passionate and dedicated believers who are doing it in the name of their religion. While the idea of which seems haunting, a company in Idaho claims that it has a bullet that can repel any Jihadist attack. Why do they say so? It is because their bullet is covered with pork.

Vehement about the possibility of an Islamic cultural centre that will be built near the former location of the World Trade Center twin towers in New York City, South Fork Industries in Dalton Gardens, Idaho was inspired by a number of gun enthusiasts to develop the Jihawg Ammo which can be used as defence against people who might act in the name of Jihad.

The paint that coats the bullets is mixed with pork to make it unclean for Muslims. Once they are shot with the bullet, they cannot enter paradise anymore as per Islamic tradition. With this item, the developers believe that it cannot only kill radicals who will do anything for the sake of their religion. Rather, it will also take away the privilege of being with Allah after a perceived act of martyrdom.

In a press release from the manufacturing company, the bullet aims to make Jihadists think twice before engaging in violent acts. They added that not only can it take the physical life of the enemy. Rather, it can also do damage spiritually. Though bullets are often associated with violence, South Fork tags their creation as a peaceful means to circumvent the chaotic beliefs of Islam.

However, it seems that the company is banking on the popularity of these bullets for they have also created a clothing line with statements like "Give 'em Spankin' With Some Bacon". Furthermore, the company has created in their website that they bullets must only be used for defensive purposes and not for aggression towards others, particularly non-radical Muslims.

Though the ammunition is already being sold, a Religious Studies professor from Gonzaga University says that they bullets were made on a hazy interpretation of Islam's sacred scripture, the Quran. Professor Shannon Dunn said that it is not written in the holy book that Muslims will be banned from paradise when they have eaten or made contact with pork. She added that some interpretations state that rather than die in starvation, Muslims have the option to eat pork but only if there are no other available alternatives.

Dunn also pointed out the Islamic belief towards pork can be patterned after the dietary principles of the Jews that can be found in the book of Leviticus. But despite the inaccurate understanding, the official Facebook page for the Jihawg Ammo now has over 4,000 followers. One of those people even plans of purchasing 500 rounds while another commented that the U.S. troops based in Islamic states will be rationed with this.
