‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ spoilers for Aug 24: A family crisis turns worse; Ridge plans to overthrow Eric, who issues a grave threat

A growing hatred between parents and their children seems to be the central theme of the upcoming episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful” (“B&B”). On Wednesday, an emotional Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) refuses to blindly accept the ongoing family issues and decides to do something about it. Seeing that the Forrester patriarch is drunk with love with a woman of questionable background, Ridge takes matters into his own hands.

As expected, Eric (John McCook) isn’t going to take his son’s moves lightly and insists on fighting for his happiness. Other “The Bold and the Beautiful” cast members who will appear on the Aug.24 installment include Thomas (Pierson Fode), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Liam (Scott Clifton).

TV Guide reports that on Wednesday’s episode of “B&B,” Thomas takes on the role of a matchmaker for his sister. Meanwhile, Ridge can’t contain his emotions, leading to an epic confrontation with his father and her new lady love.

The show’s official YouTube channel posted a preview video for the Aug.24 episode. It features multiple scenes with Wyatt, Quinn, Thomas, Steffy and Ridge.

On the first scene, Quinn tells Eric, “I just don’t like me being the reason that your family is turning against you.” Meanwhile, she desperately asks her son in another part of the video, “Why can’t I have a little happiness?” Wyatt replies, “Because you get bored with happiness.”

Thomas also figures in the teaser as he wonders to Steffy, “If Quinn leaves granddad, then you’ll move in with Wyatt?” She mutters, “That’s one way it could go.”

Elsewhere, Ridge mulls over the ongoing family crisis. “We have to limit the influence that dad has over the company and all of us,” he says. Eric wraps the trailer as he issues a threat. “You take her out of here, I’ll just come get her and bring her right back here,” he warns.

In the previous episode, Wyatt begged Steffy not to leave him because of Quinn, but Steffy insisted that she can’t take what’s happening anymore. Wyatt asked for one more chance to kick Quinn out of the Forrester mansion. Steffy said that she can’t risk Quinn being in her life and because of that, she’s moving out.

Meanwhile, Ridge had a heated row with Eric and Quinn. As Eric stood his ground about his relationship with Quinn, Ridge accused her of being a criminal and called her a con artist. Ridge also warned Eric that he’ll be an outcast, someone whose employees and family will no longer respect. “There’s evil in that woman,” Ridge claimed. Elsewhere, Thomas and Liam also talked about how Quinn invaded the Forrester family and their business. Their discussion shifted to Steffy. Liam reckoned that it’s possibly dawning on Steffy that Wyatt can’t control his mum.
