CBS police drama “Blue Bloods” has become a hit because of family ties, professional conflicts and gripping action.

In the past two episodes, however, avid viewers have seen an additional element that excited them further: romance. After a long time of repressed but undeniable attraction and sexual tension between Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray), the series has finally escalated the romantic spin on the pair’s storyline.

The last episode, titled “Confessions,” showed Jamie and Eddie attending a friend’s wedding together. [READ: Jamie and Eddie gear up for a wedding; Frank is caught in the middle in ‘Confessions’”] Their date didn’t turn out that well, however, and Jamie ended up having a fistfight with another guy. Fans assumed that Jamie became jealous when the guy grabbed Eddie for a dance. Jamie cut in, egos flared up and the dreamy event ended in a huge, cakey mess.

Fortunately, things took a different turn towards the end of the episode, when Jamie invited Eddie out again. Even with a black eye, Jamie cleaned up good and Eddie looked stunning in a black dress. She was confused, however, with his choice of venue, teasing him that he doesn’t like to dance.

It seems Jamie does like to dance… with Eddie. The two held each other close as they swayed to the tune of “What A Wonderful World.” In the middle of dancing, Eddie wonders, “Do you ever think about what we might be missing out on?” Jamie replied yes and countered with another question, “Do you ever think what we might be giving up?” to which Eddie said “yup.”

That conversation would have been a perfect cue for a kiss – something JamKo followers have been waiting for a long time – but it didn’t happen. Definitely, fans would watch out for that one sweet day that Jamie and Eddie finally act on their feelings for each other and hook up. CBS has certainly built up the JamKo love team for quite some time.
