The whole world is coming after Red and anyone around him in episode 20 of “The Blacklist” Season 2, titled “Quon Zhang.” By now, Red must be used to this kind of dangerous scenario but Liz is not. The last episode saw her saving Red and by doing so, she revealed herself to the evil Cabal. This has made her one of the targets that they would like to destroy. And as the Director said in episode 19 episode, “You (Liz) have no idea the enemies you just made.”

Liz can easily become a sitting duck if someone from the taskforce turns out to be the Cabal’s man or woman. In the preview clip, Samar can be seen with the Director. One of the preview scenes suggest that Samar shoots Dembe. It looks like in the last episode it is she who was passing the information about Red’s whereabouts to the Director, and not Tom Connolly.

“After decoding the information that is embedded in The Fulcrum, Red is determined to stop the imminent threat,” according to the synopsis of the episode. With Leonard Caul’s help, Liz found out what the Fulcrum is all about. It helped open the blackmail file. Liz also saw the content of this file and has made copies of it, which makes her a threat to the Cabal, just like Red. And the Cabal would do anything, including kill and destroy, to keep the lid on their clandestine organisation and its nefarious activities.

Also in the upcoming episode, Liz will continue to look for information about her past. The synopsis says, “Liz continues to search for answers about her past after discovering a picture hidden in Red’s secret flat.” Tom may help her in that. She is likely to trust him a little after what Red told her about Tom and why he hired and later fired him.

According to Red, he had hired Tom to protect Liz and when he found out that their relationship had become intimate, he fired him. Tom’s inextricable commitment to Liz was one of the reasons why he took up Berlin’s assignment. At the end of episode 19, Liz wanted to know what Tom knows about Red. The episode 20 is likely to reveal some details about Red. Also it is expected that Tom and Liz's relationship may get on the re-building track.

The case of the episode revolves around the deceased bodies of Chinese-American women who are being smuggled out of the country under false identities, according to synopsis of the episode.
