Ready for his 14th century drama, “The Bastard Executioner” series creator Kurt Sutter is currently casting the last few characters for his upcoming medieval show. French model Matthieu Charmeau is reportedly playing Ventris’ servant with the casting announcement came from #TBX official Facebook account.

“When I studied acting, people said, ‘You’ve done very sexy stuff and people are always going to think you’re gay because you’ve only done gay photographs,’” the 25-year-old model told Out. “Well, I know myself and I believe I won’t get stuck in the way people see me. There are a lot of roles I want to play.”

Although it’s not easy to switch careers from modelling to acting, Charneau credits his modelling experience for giving the courage to try the art of acting. He revealed that every time he did a photo shoot he visualize himself doing a character. His first acting gig was under a budding director Justin Wu in the short film “Coup de Grâce.”

Charneau follows the casting of Australian theatre actor Lee Jones for the lead role and “True Blood” star Stephen Moyer as Milus Corbett, former Ventris’ marshal in the army. Sutter is currently looking for an actor to cast as Ventris and recently joked about casting “Glee” star Jane Lynch.

If the casting news is confirmed, the model/actor is also set to star alongside showrunner Kurt Sutter as he plays The Dark Mute, Annora of the Alders, played by “Sons of Anarchy” star Katey Sagal, mate and guardian. Sagal’s character was described as mystical and beautiful and can predict the future. She also happened to be Sutter’s wife in real life.

Other members of the cast includes Darren Evans (“Galavant”) as Ashy Goedwig, Danny Sapani (“Penny Dreadful”) as Berber the Moor, Sam Spruell (“Snow White and the Hunstman”) as Toran Prichard and Matthew Rhys (“The American”) in a guest-starring role as Gruffudd y Blaidd.

“The Bastard Executioner” follows the life of a former warrior-knight in King Edward I’s charge who vowed not to use his sword again. But when violence found him again, he was forced to pick bloodiest sword of all. Sutter is set to begin the show’s production this March.
