“Arrow” Season 5 newest cast member Cody Rhodes has teased that his character will be a rival of Stephen Amell’s character in the popular TV series. The actor shared a picture online, teasing the rivalry of the two characters in the TV series.

[Spoiler alert]

Rhodes, who is also known by his Wrestling name Star Dust, has been training hard at the gym to prepare for his role in the superhero TV series. He is gathering his supporters to form Team Rhodes, to take on Amell’s character Oliver Queen in the next season.

The name of the character Rhodes is playing was not revealed by the actor. He, however, did tease that his character’s main mission will be to “Destroy Queen.” That may be next to impossible for the new character, as Rhodes has not been cast in a recurring role, and will be appearing very briefly on the show.

As previously reported, Rhodes has teased that the fans can expect his character to get into another fight in “Arrow” Season 5. Both he and Amell had been playing up their “rivalry” on Twitter, before it was formally announced that the wrestling star had a cameo appearance in the TV series.

Some of the new and recurring characters on the show this year will be Vigilante (Josh Segarra), Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), and the Black Canary impersonator from the previous season, who will now appear as Artemis (Madison McLaughli). Oliver will be leading the new superheroes, and the expanded team will take on a new villain.

Chad L. Coleman has been cast to play the role of the villain Tobias Church. Apart from the storyline in Star City, “Arrow” Season 5 will continue to show flashbacks of Oliver and his continued evolution into the superhero the people in the city now see.
