Speculations are rife that the Apple iPhone 7 Plus will be launched in two versions. One of them is expected to feature dual-camera sensors. Early rumors indicate that the iPhone 7 Plus with dual-camera lens will be launched as iPhone 7 Pro or iPhone 7 Plus Premium.

Kota Ezawa, an analyst from Citi Research, has stated that Apple is poised to release four iPhones this year instead of two smartphones as it did in 2015 and 2014. Apple has already unleashed the 4-inch iPhone SE smartphone and it is expected to announce three more phones later this year, namely, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus Premium, Barrons Blog reported.

According to Ezawa, the Cupertino company will release two iPhone 7 models with screen sizes of 5.5 inches. One of them is expected to house a dual-camera sensor along with high-end specs.

The LG G5 that was introduced in February this year features a dual-camera system. The newly launched Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus smartphones also feature dual-camera lens by Leica, a photography company from Germany. Hence, the feature of dual-camera lens is expected to become one of the popular features for smartphones in 2016.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from KGI Securities, who holds a consistent track good of revealing details of unreleased Apple products, had predicted that only certain models of iPhone 7 would arrive with dual camera lens. However, he did not predict about a second model that would be launched as iPhone 7 Pro or iPhone 7 Plus Premium.

Ezawa added that the Cupertino has introduced new features like haptic functionality and lightning connectors, however, the company has not brought major improvements in departments like camera and display. Hence, Apple is heavily pegged to launch a camera-centric iPhone 7 Plus this year. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation on the arrival of three iPhone 7 models in September this year.
